This terraced lodge is situated in the grounds of a country house hotel near to Bowness and can sleep two people in one bedroom.

Hartley Wife is a terraced lodge in a private setting in the grounds of Storrs Hall Hotel just a couple of miles from Bowness-on-Windermere. The lodge sleeps two people and has a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and an open plan living area with a kitchen and a sitting area leading to a patio. Outside is off road parking, a private patio and shared use of the hotel grounds which lead down to Lake Windermere. Ideal as a romantic getaway in the beautiful Lake District National Park, Hartley Wife offers comfortable accommodation all year round.

Gas central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, TV with Freeview, DVD. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Private patio with furniture and access to 17 acres of hotel’s grounds. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 2 miles, bar in hotel 2 mins walk. Lake Windermere 2 mins walk. Note: The lodges are set in a woodland location with their own parking area. Steps provide the only access from the car park which are not suitable for people who have mobility issues or require wheelchair access.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere both provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants, plus boat trips are available from Bowness to Ambleside, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's Hill Top House at Sawrey. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is on the edge of the town, plus Grizedale Forest Park is nearby and there are many National Trust properties in the area.
